We came back to Harrisonburg, Virginia, USA, from Lezhë, Albania, late Saturday evening, June 20. This past Tuesday, June 29, I finally took some time to get some photos of trains.
The first two are at the railroad crossing on Maryland Ave..

Back at the Norfolk Southern rail "yard" in Harrisonburg near R. S. Monger, I found two engines--NS 7006 and 2546. The differences between the two in terms of upkeep was very apparent. According to Chris R. Toth, the 7006 was originally built in February 1986 and rebuilt and back in service June 2015. On the side of the engine below its number, it is identified as an SD60E engine.

While the 7006 is fresh from the paint shop, the 2546 has been around for almost 21 years without being rebuilt. Chris R. Toth reports its build date as September 1994. It is an SD70 engine.

Across the street and behind Mongers, I found these two tank cars waiting to become part of a train. The first tanker is CBTX 781189 and the second one, as far as I can make it out is TLX 3055??.

It was fun seeing and photographing trains again. I hope to get some videos in the next months, too.
