TO BEGIN: Select a Star

• Choose a star from the star field below and select it in the table.
• Press the "Make Observations" button to view the simulated data and begin its analysis.

• The simulation provided here follows the basic outline set forth by David Koch in a stand-alone simulation he constructed for the Macintosh computer system (Kepler 1.4).

Hints

• Use the appropriate buttons. Do not press the "Enter" key. The "Enter" key will not signal to the web browser to begin the calculations.
• Enter or change numbers only in the appropriate boxes. Several of the boxes will experience "automatic entry" when the appropriate buttons are selected.
• Complete all "calculations" in order from the top of the page to the bottom. Some of the earlier results will be used in later calculations.
